Getting a dream job is surely not out of your reach! Focusing on some simple tips, before you start on the way to make money helps. A 2001 report released by the Department of Labor indicates the availability of 5 Million new jobs to be created in just 10 occupations. With such a huge requirement of workforce, landing a job is just a step, at the most two away from you.

“I need a job” – is this your frequent rant? Find below 7 steps of you landing your dream job.

  • Analyze your educational qualifications and interest – Having done Science; applying for the job of a Call Center Executive is not something anyone wants! But hey, it could be a dream job for the Science Graduate if he loves talking to people. Trust this graduate to never come up in future and say, “I need a job”.

  • Be positive from the start – Assuming you are starting off to find work, it is important you be positive. Thinking you would be falling in a well, when going for a job interview is disastrous.

  • No job is a dream job till you start with it – From outside, every glass home looks beautiful. Thinking a job would be your dream one, by the looks of the portfolio described by the company, could be a mistake. Do a thorough research on the company fundamentals and the responsibilities of the role.

  • Research on the domain’s popularity – Landing a dream job is often a case of people understanding how popular the field or domain of the job is. In doing so, you could eventually be recognized as a productive worker for the organization.

  • Where is your network? – Individuals cannot be faulted for starting networking with the thought of “I need a job”. Good networking could have you in a job that you would never want to leave.

  • What is your presence on the Internet? – One of the easiest ways you could answer the question “I need a job” is by creating a good online presence. Your popularity on the Internet would be directly proportional to the chances of you getting the job you have dreamt of.

  • What’s good for your friend may not be good for you! – Both you and your friend did your schooling from the same institution. Him doing a certain job can possibly not be one for you! Possibly, his answers to “I need a job” can be different from yours.

Getting a job in Malaysia is not tough, what with sectors like Natural Resources; Financial and Insurance services booming by the day! Getting a dream job, one that will never in future have you say, “I need a job”, is tough.
