A recent study done by a leading research organization shows that approximately 60% of the employee workforce had started working by the time they were 20. This trend was up since the Millennium started, forcing the world to sit back and take notice to a lot of young college graduates taking up jobs. Jobs college graduate would take could be dependant mostly on their line of education or their interests.

Before we go about finding the top 5 jobs or the most popular job college graduate prefers, let us understand some jobs they just would not want to apply for. In fact, one thing that deters most college students from not applying for jobs is the fear of losing time for studies. Time and again, this has proved to be a myth what with a lot of part time jobs college graduate can take.

  • Sales Representative – In Malaysia, the retail sector is doing quite well what with plenty of malls and plush shops being opened by the day. Working as a Sales Representative in any of these malls would give a college graduate, the necessary exposure to work.

  • Fashion Designer – Part time – Fashion designing is on the rise in Malaysia, with its rapid transformation to match the Western world. Being one of the liberal Islamic states, Malaysia allows quite a lot of young and aspiring fashion designers to show their wares to them.

  • Customer Care Representative – The hospitality industry is also doing quite well in Malaysia. Hotels and other leisure destinations often advertise jobs college graduate can fulfill easily.

  • Research positions – This one is for graduates who have an intellectual bend. Jobs college graduate can take in the field of research would require them to research on a specific topic. Looking at the current economy of Malaysia, a lot of research positions seem to be advertised related to Natural Resources.

This is not to say that college graduates do not opt for other streams. As said before, any selection of a career that college students make at this stage of their career must be keeping in mind, the long-term prospects of the job.
